Poniatówka Beach

Most Poniatowskiego ,   Praga (the East Bank)         more than a year ago
The Poniatówka Beach has its origins in the interwar periods; much like today, when the warm weather arrives and Varsovians head to the river, back then, the popular choice was to head to Poniatówka to swim and catch some rays! The beach was revived in 2010, and features aplenty of sunbeds, hammocks and designated areas for starting up a good ole BBQ. Water equipment rental is right on the beach, there's volleyball courts, a playground for kids and a cafe/bar. You can even go in the water if you're brave enough, but we don't really recommend it.

During the season, you can cross the river from here using the Vistula Tourist Ferry Service. When in Warsaw, do as the Varsovians do. If there's no ferry service running, the easiest way to get to beach is to take trams 7, 9, 22 & 24 from stop Centrum and get off at stop Rondo Waszyngtona, then simply walk down to the river.
