The seven young men - U.Seong (leader, rapper), Z.Hoo (rapper), Kogun (vocal), Bao (rapper), Parkha (vocal), Hero (vocal), Taejun (rapper) make up the popular K-pop boy band Lucente. Their name is a combination of Latin and English that translates into ‘shine as bright as the stars’. They officially debuted on September 18, 2018, with their first mini album The Big Dipper. Their music, K-pop, is characterized by a mixture of modern Western sounds and African-American influences (including sounds from hip-hop, R&B, jazz, black pop, soul, funk, techno, disco, house, and Afrobeats) with a Korean aspect of performance (including synchronized dance moves, formation changes and the so-called "point choreography" consisting of hooking and repetitive key movements).Lucente
