The exhibition consists of a selection of works from the Jerzy Staniszkis family archives, including applied and artistic graphics, architectural designs, drawing studies from his work on interior design and exhibition stands, and posters from the Poster Museum’s collection. Jerzy Staniszkis was an extremely versatile artist both in the field of architecture and graphics with an uncanny ability to solve problems within both fields. A longtime professor of architecture at the University of Detroit, he developed a unique teaching method based on chalk drawings which were later photographed and published as Chalk Talks. Jerzy Staniszkis also worked on the urban architectural project of joining two cities divided by the Detroit river - Detroit (USA) and Windsor (CAN).
