Opór (Resistance) was created in 2017 by Spanish artist Escif. It may not be immediately apparent what this mural symbolises, but in the artist's own explanation, it's a sign to heat up resistance to gentrification. Where a radiator will fight the winter cold, the symbol is a way of showing dislike of the gentrification of the area. Escif tells us that the Praga district survived occupation during World War II and the subsequent Soviet occupation, and today, capitalism is its main foe.
