Agnieszka Osiecka Monument

Agnieszka Osiecka (1936 - 1997) was a Polish poet and journalist, and the author of over 2,000 songs, many of which were turned into pop hits. She’s also known for a particularly grisly connection to the Swinging Sixties; her first marriage ended in tragedy when her husband, Wojciech Frykowski, became one of those slain by Charles Manson’s family of weirdos in what would turn out to be one of the crimes of the century. The statue is located in Praga Południe aka Saska Kępa, and you'll often find people lying gifts, flowers and candles at her monument. To round out your visit check out Osiecka’s favourite café, Maska, which stands around the corner from her monument.
