The Warsaw 'House of Literature' is enviably located in a lovely corner building right on Plac Zamkowy. Since the end of WWII, the building has been home to several Polish writers' associations, a library and generally functioned as a meeting place for authors, hosting literary readings and events. On the ground floor you'll find the Literatka cafe and restaurant, and one level up a gorgeous Art Deco conference hall for up to 180 people. On the upper floors there are 13 spacious and pleasant guest rooms with commanding views of the Old Town, Royal Route, Wisła River and National Stadium. Although old school to a fault for some, the location and views - with King Sigismund literally looking in the windows from his pedastal - are unbeatable.
