In the Novgorod Kremlin there is a unique exhibition on the history of Veliky Novgorod and Novgorod region. Tools, household utensils, handicrafts, military equipment and birch bark letters introduce visitors to the world of Ancient Russia.
The exhibition also presents the oldest Russian musical instruments, showing the high level of musical culture of ancient Novgorod, checkers and chess pieces, children's toys, preserved only in Veliky Novgorod, fragments of wooden bridges that appeared in Novgorod long before they began to lay in Paris and London.
