Sculpted and cast locally, this bronze monument of Tarnów's favourite son was unveiled in 1985. Somewhat surprisingly positioned in the vicinity of the former Jewish ghetto, the imposing 2.5 metre general stands on a granite pedestal dressed in a Hungarian uniform, surrounded by beautiful willow trees in a small square full of benches.
