This 13th century Gothic church, now an affiliate of the Estonian Art Museum, houses a fascinating collection of medieval art and is home to Tallinn's most famous work of art, a wall-sized fragment of Bernt Notke's spooky, 15th-century masterpiece Dance Macabre. You can also admire altars from the 15th and 16th centuries and a collection of Baroque and Renaissance chandeliers, and a 'silver chamber' exhibiting silver items from churches, guilds, and the Brotherhood of Blackheads. The wheelchair accessible viewing platform provides unique vistas of the old town.
The church is also known for its acoustics - organ concerts are held here every Saturday and Sunday at 16:00.
