"The Spirit of Old Sofia" is the theme of KvARTal Festival 2024 one of the most anticipated city events in the area of the old Sofia center - KvARTal. The focus will be on the period of creation of the neighborhood at the beginning of the 20th century, known as the trade and bohemian quarter, with many buildings / monuments of culture, built as homes of prominent writers, doctors, booksellers , photographers, merchants and royal guests.
You will be transported to the old Sofia center from the beginning of the last century and the Art Nouveau era; through archives, photos and stories, exhibitions and tours.
You  will  get a chance to enter the homes, hear  first-person accounts and enjoy the cultural program in the make shift pedestrian spaces.
The programme also includes a retro car parade, dances of the era. 
The old center of Sofia  like the KvARTal district is framed by the boulevards "Dondukov", "Maria Luiza", "Slivnitsa" and "Vasil Levski".
The festival's program will unfold over the weekend September 13th - 15th. Friday from 18:00 Saturday and Sunday all day until 22:30  in the open air, in the perimeter of the quarter between the four boulevards and the pedestrian areas included in it.
