Yes, it's time to start getting into the Christmas Spirit - and what better way than a visit to the Sofia's German Christmas Market on Alexander Battenberg Square.
This year's traditional German Christmas Market, in the centre of town will be opened at 13:00 on Saturday 18 th November 2017, by the German Ambassador to Bulgaria. Musical accompaniment from the Sofia Gospel choir. In the evening the entertainment starts around 17:30.
Enjoy 'Gluehwein'(mulled wine), German sausages and other typical treats, catch up with friends, and browse the artisan stalls for delightful and original Christmas decoration and gifts.
There will be a daily entertainment programme, including choirs from local schools. Just a word of warning, it can get very crowded,especially in the evenings, so remember extra caution with your valuables. We do not want the Christmas spirit ruined by a pickpocket.
