Sightseeing in Edinburgh

There is so much to do and see in Edinburgh and close proximity, and thankfully much of it not dependent on the weather (but you have to be prepared for it). We have split our recommendations into several categories but much will depend on how long you are in the city and what your budget is, as admission to some of the attractions can be quite pricey, especially for larger families. Believe us - there is enough whether your interest is history, whiskey, witchcraft and wizardry, culinary or nature. In Essentials we have included what we consider the places you should not miss, but you may well have a different agenda.
