Since 2004 the buildings of the National Gallery and the Royal Scottish Academy down by the Princes Gardens are connected via the underground level and form the Scottish National Gallery. You can see the best of the Scottish artist's here; Ramsay, Raeburn, Wilkie and McTaggart as well as masterpieces by great artists such as Constable, Rembrandt, Monet, Degas, Boticelli, Turner, Van Gogh and others.
The award winning Scottish Cafe & Restaurant is due to re-open Spring 2019. There is a pop up cafe on the lower level.
There is a complimentary shuttle (voluntary donation) running between the galleries.
