Yokai Tiger Mural

  ul. Kraszewskiego 14 ,   Jeżyce         03 Jun 2024
Sponsored by the two Korean restaurants in the building - Min's Table and Kim Chi Ken - this impressive mural by Paweł and Weronika Swanski depicts a tiger surrounded by waves and octopus tentacles. Painted in an oriental style that calls to mind the yokai (supernatural spirits) of Japanese folklore, the artists did the entire over-100-metre design with no projections, grids or other aids, and painted it entirely by hand. The effect is absolutely stunning and the mural really serves as a Jeżyce landmark, unofficially welcoming visitors into a small gastronomy densely packed with ethnic eateries. Find it at the intersection of Kraszewskiego and Szamarzewskiego Streets.
