This is great for children not just on a rainy day , a visit to the regional natural history museum reveals all sorts of fascinating encounters with live and stuffed animals, reptiles, small mammals, birds and preserved flora of all kinds. The aquarium has both fresh water and salt water tanks with local and more exotic species. Recent additions include a tropical live butterfly exhibit in which the butterflies are free to fly around the visitor(additional charges apply). Since 2015 the museum has a state of the art planetarium with an 8 metre diameter dome and 50 seats, showing various 2D and 3D projections(additional charges apply).
