One of the largest exhibition venues in Southeast Europe, Plovdiv Fair is best known for its biannual fairs in March and September, though it holds thematic fairs all through the year. Seventeen mulitfunctional pavilions cover an area of 325 000 m2. A separate congress centre boasts 8 halls in addition to the 12 that are situated inside the pavilions.

The annual Vinaria exhibition of wines has become a regular event.

Alongside the Maritsa river, the Fair is only a walk or taxi ride away from the town centre.
