Thanks to a 2018 initiative by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture it’s now possible to visit most State-owned museums in Lithuania throughout 2019 free of charge on the last Sunday of every month. The offer only applies to permanent exhibitions, and doesn’t include extras such as guided tours. All of the museums taking part in the initiative listed as being closed on Sundays in this guide will now open on these days.
