Nida is represented by a small selection of bars and restaurants aimed predominantly but not exclusively at the summer tourist market. When visiting the village it’s considered the done thing to sample some of the fish, which is more often than not smoked as is the local fashion, and all of it taken from the local waters. The nightlife isn’t up to the standards as witnessed in Palanga, but that’s not why most people visit. Bars and clubs spring up willy-nilly during the high season, and asking the locals what’s on offer is the best way to find out what’s going on after dark.
