Real, good Indian restaurants are something of a rarity in Moscow, so though Kerala is just tacked on to a yoga studio, it's no less worthy because of that. It's vibrant traditional vegetarian cuisine from the south west Indian region of Kerala is an unexpected gem hidden in a swish apartment block. Simple and authentic food is served in calm and private surroundings in the small restaurant room that you eventually reach through a warren of dark wood doors in the yoga studio. To add to the authenticity there's not really a wide choice of dishes, but if you go for the 600Rbl set menu which changes regularly you'll get a try of everything: curries, dal, rice, spiced Indian puddings, some kind of bready accompaniment and a pot of refreshing cumin tea. Even the chefs themselves are Keralan, so you can be sure it's the real deal.
