Moskvoretsky Market (nearest metros Varshavskaya, Kakhovskaya or Nakhimovsky Prospekt) is like a mini Danilovsky. With a history dating to 1956, it was also recently refurbished to reflect modern times and needs of Moscow’s inhabitants. After more than a year of revamping, the new and improved Moskvoretsky Market was opened on March 1, 2018 and has already captured the hearts and stomachs of Muscovites. Though still getting its bearings, Moskvoretsky Market is already promising to be a worthy contender to the uber hip Danilovsky Market thanks to the food stand offering (at present there are 20 different vendors) that seems to be getting bigger and bigger with each passing day.
