Situated in a an eighteenth Century mansion, this hotel’s main selling point is it’s wonderfully peaceful gated courtyard complete with garden chairs and fountain. The décor inside the rooms aims to match the building’s history with heavy Victorian-style fabrics, which can feel a little bit over-the-top and overbearing in the smaller rooms. There’s also a tiny friendly conservatory restaurant, which gets full to the rafters when all 25 rooms are occupied. Promorates at weekend.
