Based in the cellar of the Music and Time Museum, the many little rooms of this highly atmospheric Russian restaurant are all filled with quirky and colourful curiosities from the museum collection such as samovars, old books, wooden figurines and folk art. The menu offers traditional dishes made in the pech (stone oven) with the various types of savoury porridges particularly worth trying if you are bored of borsch and salads. Portions are huge, the soups alone could constitute a light meal, and everything is served piping hot. Lunch deals are particularly good value.
