Constructed in 1869 in a neo-Renaissance style, the Maribor Evangelical Church sits proudly on the corner of Trubarjeva and Gregorčičeva streets where it holds inclusive services on Sundays and holidays at 09:30 am. From 1945 to 1952 evangelical worship was forbidden, and so during that time Protestant worshippers shared the space with the Orthodox religious community. Today, however, evangelical services are held.
