If you need a break from city life, take a short 10 minute drive from Maribor's city centre to Kalvarija Hill in Maribor's city park. The hill, reaching 375m, is covered in vineyards and at it's top is the Church of St. Barbara. Kalvarija is a popular place for walks and excursions, largely due to its proximity to Maribor's centre and the wonderful panoramic views it creates.

An open Church service operates at 15:00 on the last Sunday of every month.
