The Aloysius Church was built in the heart of Maribor's old town in 1769 by Johannes Fuchs. Inside the church are three stunning panorama paintings of Štajerska towns and multiple statues of different Saints. The Aloysius Church also has an interesting history attached to it - the church was closed in 1784 because of the abolition of the Jesuit order and was then turned into a military storehouse, while the Jesuit College was turned into a military school. In 1831, the church was restored to its original purpose and has remained a sacred place for worship to this day.
