Seven kilometres northeast of Pehčevo towards the southern crests of the Bukovik Mountain is a popular rocky formation known as Vrtena Skala. Some five metres high and with a small opening revealing an equally small and dark interior, the area is rich is legends and folklore and is a popular place for hiking and getting away from it all.
