For classical music aficionados, one of the highlights of this year's Lucerne Festival is sure to be the back-to-back performances by the legendary Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The first night will feature Leonidas Kavakos on the violin and conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada will lead the way through works from Antonín Dvořák and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. The following evening the baton will be passed to Bernard Haitink, who will be joined by the American pianist Murray Perahia for works by Beethoven and Anton Bruckner.
