A collection of seven private cemeteries across the city, the so-called Magnificent Seven seem to have endless stories hidden within their grounds. Highgate Cemetery is arguably the most fascinating, the final resting place of notable folk as varied as Karl Marx and Jeremy Beadle. It was at Highgate that vampire hunters stalked the tombs back in the day, mad souls hoping to interrupt the undead. Kensal Green, Tower Hamlets, West Norwood, Abney Park, Nunhead and Brompton make up the rest of the seven.
