Who were the first astronauts? How did the conquest of space begin? What have we learned from the early space exploration? The beginning of the space age marked the first time humanity had ever glimpsed the Earth in full. Images of the Earth suspended in space conveyed our planet's fragility and mankind's oneness in ways that words could not. The first image of the world looking like a "blue marble" taken by the crew of Apollo 17 in 1972, is one of the most widely distributed images in history. The show is designed for kids over 12 and adults.
