A beautiful tribute to legendary Polish singer/songwriter, Czesław Niemen, this event is created in part by his daughter Natalia and aims to familiarize even more people with her father's work.

The festival, held Friday, Oct. 25 and lasting until the 29th, will be rich in events relating to Niemen and will feature music from popular duo Matylda/Łukasiewicz. It will also will also feature some of the biggest Czeslaw Niemen's hits!

Niemen made his debut in the early 60s with Polish rock and soul music and became massively influential and popular throughout Poland in the following decades. His instrumental, catchy music is reminiscent of other artists of the 60s and 70s, but with its own unique flair and style. Niemen, too, had his own style - sometimes described as "psychadelic" which was a contrast to the rigidity of communist Poland at the time.

With his jazzy, soulful and at times folk and bluegrass-inspired sound, Niemen has become a lasting, beloved figure in Poland. So much so, that his song Sen o Warszawia (A Dream of Warsaw) is sung before every Legia match since Niemen's death in 2004.

For any lovers of art, Polish history, or simply music in general, this event is a must.
