Lunch, or 'obiad' in local parlance, has always been the primary Polish mealtime in a feeding schedule that generally bookends small bites for breakfast and dinner around this laboriously prepared afternoon feast of soup, meat and salads, typically followed by something sweet. However, going out to eat the traditionally home-cooked meal has never been a popular Polish practise, leading to empty restaurants in the afternoons. To catch the lunch crowd, many establishments - namely those linked below - offer multi-course set meals priced from 15-30zł (4-7 Euro). It's a great way to enjoy some of the city's most elegant establishments at a fraction of what you would normally pay a la carte.
