Without making overstated allusions to the fabled phoenix, this storied Hotel & Restaurant has recently risen from its own ashes. After a tragic roof fire on New Year’s Eve 2011 the former Dom Klasyka was forced to close, seemingly for good. Then the Valdi restaurant group stepped in and invested in the Villa’s total renovation. Having only recently reopened, they appear to have pulled off a minor miracle in restoring the historic manor to its former glory. The first floor restaurant, dining room and art nouveau salon are every bit as striking and the food is equally impeccable. The menu favours meat eaters, with duck featuring along with other more traditional Silesian dishes. Non-carnivores have a smattering of soups and salads to opt for. The sleeping quarters in the upper floors have been wholly rebuilt and feature fully modern amenities and creature comforts. Come discover this Silesian gem again, for the first time.
