The Rozrywki started life in its current form in 1985 as a successor to the Music Hall, where Polish National Television (TVP) was supposed to organise revues, variety shows and musicals. It didn’t work out and the Rozrywka took over the two halls: the Great Stage with 582 seats, and Small Stage for 100. Today they mostly put on musicals when not hosting international acts during festivals such as Ars Cameralis. The theatre is fully handicap friendly and even offers 'inductive loopsets' for the partially deaf for free in the cloak room.
