A gift shop found inside the Marzipan Museum which itself is found in the restored Brandenburg Gate to the south-east of the city. Marzipan was famous in old Konigsberg and the original manufacturer and one of the most famous names was Pomatti, a family of Italian confectioners who began business in 1809 and received Royal Consent for their delicious almond sweets. The name has today been revived and the marzipan is made to original recipes using the exact ingredients and methods the Pomattis used. Note they also have a shop at the airport.
