Croatia-born jazz vocalist, pianist and composer Ziza Muftic brings her unique jazz style to The Orbit’s stage this week. Blending Eastern European folk music with American and South African jazz styles, Muftic first started her jazz career as a violinist before diversifying into vocal jazz.

She is joined at this concert by the Peter Auret Trio, headed by the largely self-taught drummer Peter Auret. The concert is a prelude to the launch of Muftic’s upcoming debut album with the quartet presenting an evening of sensitively played and carefully crafted compositions.
