Thaw out those winter blues with the Jozi Hikers for an "almost spring, but not quite" weekend hike at Hennops on Sat, Aug 26. 

The Hennops Hiking Trail is widely regarded to be one of the most beautiful and well-maintained hiking trails in Gauteng, with a good selection of easy or challenging hikes. The Jozi Hikers will tackle the Krokodilberg Trail, 10 kilometres of hiking heaven (or hell, depending on your persuasion) which takes approximately four-and-a-half hours to complete. However, it’s a fairly tough trail so not recommended for children under the age of 12.

The Jozi Hikers "are a community of weekend warriors" and anyone is welcome to join their hikes but remember their golden rules: respect other hikers and bring a good attitude. Don't forget the essentials: 1.5 literes of water, snacks to keep those energy levels from plummeting, and as much sun protection as possible (SPF and sunhats are a necessity).
