Each year we run the #JacarandaInYourPocket photo competition alongside our annual jacaranda experiences, and 2023 was no different. We hosted four fabulous photowalks and three other curated events, exploring Joburg and Pretoria in peak bloom. The photographs of the top 10 finalists embody this beauty, a sense of pride in where we live, and an adventurous spirit. The vision is there; now we put them up for you to choose the winner.

In the Professional category, career photographers Thys Dullaart and Siphiwe Mhlambi, and art curator Thato Mogotsi are selecting the winner and runners-up based on strict criteria including composition, lighting, technical skill, and originality in approaching the jacaranda theme.
