Marking the start of the Triple Crown Autumn racing season at Turffontein Racecourse, the Gin and Craft Beer Festival at the Gauteng Guineas promises plenty of action both on and off the track.
Many of South Africa's finest craft gin and craft beer producers will be showcasing their latest tipples at the festival while there's also plenty of entertainment for the kids and of course the biggest event of the day - the thrilling Gauteng Guineas race - to look forward to.
Billed as horse racing’s ultimate test, The Triple Crown consists of three top-level races, starting with the Gauteng Guineas on March 3, the SA Classic on April 7 and culminating in the Champions Day, on May 5.
Race day at Turffontein, one of South Africa's oldest racecourses, is always a big day out with an electric atmosphere, so bring a crowd, get dressed up and make a special occasion of it.
General entrance costs R50 (under 18s R20). Tickets for the Racing It's A Rush members lounge cost R200, for the Furious Room and City Deck R225.
