As part of First Thursdays Rosebank, the precinct's newest development Keyes Art Mile hosts the launch party of its first landmark building Trumpet, an impressive contemporary building designed by top architects StudioMAS.

The Thursday night launch party includes art exhibition opening events at Trumpet's two new galleries SMAC Gallery and Whatiftheworld and Southern Guild, and at neighbouring Circa and Everard Read Galleries, an Absolut vodka pop-up bar, a live performance by Swazi Cartel in the Trumpet building's atrium and a street party with food trucks including Balkan Burgers, Amexicano, Vuyo's and the Two Scoops bicycle.

The Trumpet building houses a collaborative gallery from Southern Guild and Whatiftheworld, and a branch of the Cape Town contemporary art gallery SMAC Gallery, a burger joint, BGR, retro-chic African café Milk Bar and designer boutique stores such as Missibaba, known for their gorgeous statement handbags. The building’s immense entrance hall is curated as a gallery space, and occupying the huge rooftop is star chef David Higgs' new live-fire rooftop restaurant, Marble, boasting expansive views over the suburbs.
