BMW Art Generation at Nirox 2024
Saturday Nov 2 10:00–18:00
24 Kromdraai Rd, Cradle of Humankind
From art enthusiasts to the culturally curious, the programme offers a multitude of experiences that include: art walkabouts in the park; studio visits; a live music line-up; as well as food, wine, and fashion.
The day starts with a conversation between formidable painters Mmakgabo Helen Sebidi and Thenjiwe Niki Nkosi moderated by Janine Gaëlle Dieudji, curator of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in the United States.
On the food front, enjoy treats from Lara the Food Goddess, Lucky Bread, Jack Rabbit, Forest Gelato, Glory, Il Contadino and Soul Souvlaki; while fashion mavens will get a chance to interact with labels BOYDE, VIVIERS, NAO SERATI and UNI FORM by Luke Radloff. The stage is set for stellar performances by Kopano Jazz Collective, South African Music Award (SAMA) nominated Kujenga and, as a headline, the multi-award winning artist: Thandiswa Mazwai.
