First Place – People's Choice & Professional Judging Category 

@bretto_07 won over the professional judges and the voting public with a captivating shot of a large jacaranda tree sheltering a solitary bench. Our judges were particularly impressed by the photo’s composition, use of light, and clever cropping. As the first place winner in the professional judging category, @bretto_07 wins a two-night mid-week stay in a penthouse apartment at The Tyrwhitt in Rosebank. The value of this prize is R17 000.

And as the first place winner in the People's Choice category, @bretto_07 wins a Bombay botanical gin brunch for four at Proud Mary restaurant in Rosebank. The value of this prize is R2 500
 

Second Place – People's Choice Category 

Your second place winner in this year's People's Choice judging is a haunting jacaranda archway by @images_of_colour. 
@images_of_colour wins an incredible tasting menu for two at The Shortmarket Club restaurant at Oxford Parks. The value of this prize is R1 700

Professional Judging Winners

Our judging panel, comprised of industry heavyweights Siphiwe Mhlambi, Brett Rubin and Vincent Zondo, endured a lengthy debate to finally agree on this year’s Top 4 photos.

Second Place – Professional Judging Category 

@ninazylstra took second place in the professional category for her composition and use of light. The judges commented: “Beautiful interpretation on the theme and nice use of natural light.” @ninazylstra wins a two-night stay for two in a superior room at voco Johannesburg Rosebank, including breakfast. The value of this prize is R6 740.

Third Place - Professional Judging Category 

Third place finalist @missteegraphy impressed the judges with the use of exposure and composition. The judges highlighted: “The image captures the spirit and the home of jacaranda – Joburg!” @missteegraphy wins a one-night stay for two at Radisson RED Rosebank, including breakfast, a sharing platter on the RED Roof and arrival drink. The value of this prize is R4 050.

Fourth Place - Professional Judging Category 

And our fourth place finalist @james_attwell_photography won over the judges with a gorgeous and well-timed shot under a jacaranda canopy. The judges said: “Excellent composition, nice central focus on the cyclist and good depth in the foreground”. @james_attwell_photography wins lunch for six at The Playground Market in Braamfontein, including a bottle of bubbly.  The value of this prize is R4 000
