Found on the border between Gdańsk and Sopot, Jelitkowski Park dates from the end of the 19th century when the area began to be popular with residents of Gdańsk as a place to relax. There are still some old fishermen's houses dotted around its edges and the Oliwski stream enters the sea under a small bridge on its southern side.
You can reach it by trams 2, 6 or 8 from the centre of Gdańsk or alternatively do as the locals do and ride or walk there along the promenade from Sopot.
