Frederick Stibbert was a fabulously wealthy 19th century English art collector who, lucky for us, was about as eccentric as they come. Throughout his life he amassed over 36,000 artifacts that are now displayed in the eponymous Stibbert Museum. The collection spans 57 tapestry-decked rooms and contains artifacts from around the world, including an astounding 16,000 pieces of European, Islamic, Oriental and Japanese armor.
