If you’re after a top tier ethnographic museum in Romania, you’ve come to the right place. The collection is split across a city centre museum and an outdoor exhibition in Hoia Forest, and both are absolutely vital when in Cluj-Napoca, history-lover or not. The entire culture of Transylvania is here to be digested in a most accessible manner, with thousands of objects showcasing life in this part of the world over the many millennia of human inhabitation. Photographs, journals and artefacts make up most of the museum, while the outdoor exhibition is riotous celebration of village life and agricultural genius. Two thumbs up, ten out of ten, very, very yes.
