Named after the Štajerska-born bishop Anton Martin Slomšek, who became the first Slovene blessed in 1999, this small but picture-perfect square that wraps around the magnificent Church of St Daniel. The only other building located on the square is Celje's music school, which often has the sounds of students' work pleasantly emanating through its windows. The square also overlooks the river Savinja, and is one of the more intimate places in the city to take in a quiet sunset.
