All summer Celje's cultural scene is kept busy with two season long events: at the weekends knights, princesses and other medieval folk take over the Old Castle to perform the city's Living History, while at various venues, from the old town to Lake Šmartinska, the Summer in Celje festival organises a diverse schedule of performances ranging from music and theatre to fortune-telling and yoga.
