The sort of drive that car commercials are based on. Found on the western side of the peninsula, Chapman’s Peak is named after the pilot of an English ship that came upon these waters back in the 17th century, although today it is better known for the scenic road that weaves its way around the hill. The road was built at the beginning of the 20th century and was a major feat of engineering at the time, and today it represents just about the most scenic drive we can imagine. Don’t go recreating that Mercedes Benz commercial though, please.
