In order to see and experience how Cannes was many years ago, before developing into the glamorous city it is, Suquet Hill is the best place to go. They call it the birthplace of Cannes. The old town has narrow streets, museums and, churches that look old and historic. Place de la Castre is the perfect place to visit in order to get a panoramic view of the old town. Other points of attraction here are Musée de la Castre, Notre Dame d'Espérace, and the Old Port. Before leaving Suquet Hill and the old town area, a stop by Forville Market to have coffee in one of the small bakeries is a must.
