Undoubtedly the most left-of-field attraction in Bydgoszcz and one of the most popular family attractions. The Museum of Soap and the History of Dirt takes a thorough look at hygiene from antiquity until the current times. It is the only museum of its kind in Europe and it's famous all over the world for celebrating such bland day-to-day items as the toothbrush and the toilet paper roll! Indeed, hygiene is what separates humankind from the rest of the animal kingdom (perhaps aside opposable thumbs and Wifi). Punters of all ages hugely enjoy the soap-making workshops that the museum includes as an option on each tour. For group visits, it costs 15zł per person.
