...and the answer is 'YES!!!'

No visit to Poland should be considered complete without a stop in the beautiful, historic city of Toruń. With its medieval center designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the exquisitely detailed brick gothic architecture, cobblestone streets, gas lanterns and stained glass windows of Toruń are like something straight out of a fairytale. Coupled with its idyllic location on the Vistula River, the millennia-old gingerbread industry and its historic connections to the famed astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, we aren't surprised when we often hear about what was intended to be a short two-day trip extend into a pleasantly lazy week for some travellers. We are very happy to announce this new IYP city page and will be compiling its sights and sounds over the next month!  Stay tuned...
